I am married with two children - a son and daughter.

I have only recently stopped playing ice hockey after 40 years in the game, with highlights being a 2 year spell playing in the British National League with the Paisley Pirates. I have also coached under 16's and under 14's for two different teams at Glasgow, and then Paisley once the Glasgow rink closed, and was the assistant coach of the Scotland under 15's team for 2 years.

I am a keen golfer, playing for over 25 years, currently off an 11 handicap and am a member of The Carrick on Loch Lomond.

I am also a very keen skier along with my son. We have enjoyed many trips to the Alps and the Rockies with the highlight being a Heliskiing trip in Canada which we both loved.
